Extraordinary and extremely rare Bauhaus lamp discovered!
Dear Visitor,
sometimes a dream comes true. I am very happy and proud, to have found a very rare and original Bauhaus object, that turns out to be of real museums quality, after doing intensive research. The double cylinder hanging lamp, designed by the famous Bauhaus student and later head of the metal workshop Marianne Brandt. The idea to combine two glass cylinders was given by the famous artist Lászlò Moholy-Nagy.
The lamp is extremely rare. Until today, only two (plus one larger version) are known to be existant worldwide. One is located in the Bauhaus Archive Museum in Berlin, since the mid 90s. The other one is the one, introduced here.
Throughout the research about my lamp, I have learned, that only a very few persons have deaper knowledge about this lamp. Through this website I would like to give interested people, collectors and scholars the chance to learn more about this outstanding Bauhaus object. I hope you will appreciate it.
Thank you for your time and interest!
